600 + Attend Most Influential Women in Business Gala
On Thursday, June 16th, approximately 600 well – heeled and high – heeled professionals from throughout the Bay Area converged on the Hilton Union Square in The City to celebrate an eclectic, diverse and star studded group of exceptional professional women.
Sitting at blue table clothed round tables, honorees and their guests enjoyed a well coordinated and lavish soiree hosted once again by the San Francisco Business Times. The Annual Most Influential Women in Business Gala celebrates approximately 150 women business leaders in real estate, law, technology, financing, education, health care and other industries.
According to The Business Times, “These women work in diverse fields, but all share a passion for what they do. They are leaders in their organizations and their communities.”

Surf, Turf & Fine Wine
On this night, bankers mingled with commercial real estate brokers; accountants chatted with attorneys; marketing people broke bread with salesmen and some honorees even brought husbands, wives and children to witness the spectacle. The surf and turf main course was complimented with flowing white and red wine and punctuated by an array of dazzling chocolate inspired desserts. Attentive, white gloved servers added a touch of class to the annual gala.
With Biztimes Publisher Mary Huss presiding over the ceremonies, and in the midst of the Golden State Warriors playoff game number six, the event, not unlike a LaBron James vs. Steph Curry shootout, was fast-paced and filled with energy. Ever mindful of the Bay Area’s frenzied support of the Warriors, courtesy large screen tv monitors carried the NBA game live at the opposite end of the proceedings.

The Big Screen
After the introduction of the event’s sponsors and videos of the companies who helped make this event possible, each one of the honorees was asked to come to the stage and utter a few words about how they have come this far as professionals. The responses were shown on two giant sized screens and were met with uproarious cheers and applause.
One of the honorees clearly distinguished herself from others by eschewing mere spoken words and singing two verses from a ballad.
